John Coutis is pictured with School Captain Loredana Ontivero during his recent visit to our school.

John is recognised throughout Australia and indeed internationally as a great inspiration to young people. Despite John having to overcome the hardship of losing his legs, and suffering cancer he has remained bright and clear about living life to the fullest. John came to talk with Year 12 students about the challenges they will face in the next few months leading to the HSC.

He shows from his own experiences that it is important not to feel sorry for yourself, but rather to get up and embrace life. Students were moved and inspired. School Captain, Loredana, praised John for the way he touched the lives of her fellow students with his story of courage and optimism.
