visit to Westfields Sports High School on Monday

Ms Macklin heaped praise on the way Westfields has built up a strong bond with Wetherill Park
TAFE.
"It is terrific the way the school has combined the school's curriculum with TAFE," she told

"It has massively expanded the opportunities to the school. The more we

keep young people in
education the better off they will be."
Ms Macklin holds the key portfolios of employment, education, training and science in
Labour's shadow ministry.
She was welcomed to the Prospect federal electorate by its MP Janice Crosio MBE.
"Jenny Macklin... will be able to take a first-hand look at the success of the concept
of a specialist high school in a sports curriculum," she said
Ms Macklin trying to help other schools better relationships with TAFE.
