  • Aim

    The aim of the Westfields Sports Baseball Program is to provide students with the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and values of the game of baseball. Students will also be able to coach, umpire and score at the conclusion of the course.

     

    Courses Offered

    Year 7/8 Sport Enrichment is an introduction to the program .

    Year 9/10 Applied Sport Studies is an elective subject chosen for study over two years as a component for the School Certificate.

    Year 11/12 Applied Sport Studies is a continuation of the 9/10 Program

    All courses cover baseball skills, coaching, fitness, injury prevention, nutrition, psychology, training routines, video analysis and umpiring.

     

    Course Structure

    All students are offered two double period sessions per week. Students are expected to attend these sessions and work at home on the skills, knowledge and values taught.
