Pumped up for action
BASKETBALL
Fairfield Advance Junior Sports Star nominee Christopher Patacsil practises his basketball skills.
FAIRFIELD West's Christopher Patacsil is fit, thanks to his natural ability in both tennis and basketball.
The 12-year-old is a Fairfield Advance Junior Sports Star nominee.
He began playing tennis at the age of nine, and claimed two champion titles in the last year alone.
Preferring to play basketball, which he started only last year, the gifted teenager already holds a place on Bankstown Bruins' division one basketball team.
Patacsil has helped the undefeated team to victory five times this season, playing either point guard or small forward.
"Point guard is my favourite position to play. I get to control the ball and make plays," he said.
Patacsil's basketball talent helped him get accepted to Westfields Sports High School. The dedicated player hopes to play professionally one day.
