Who Says physical lessons at Westfields Sports High School means football, basketball or
swimming?
Dancers Tim Maranik, Jenna Cullen and Jay Gillan are quickly making a name for
themselves at state level.
Tim and Jay, both 15, have been selected for the NSW boys ensemble.
Tim will do contempory dane, which is a jazz and ballet combination.
He told the Champion what he reckons dancers need to do to be noticed.
"For a boy, he needs to show up," Tim said. "For a girl, it is to be the best dancer."
Jay said: "I like on stage performance." I like musical theatre. When I dance,
it makes me feel free. When I am doing dance, it feels like nothing else."
