Westfields had 3 girls in Level 1A Snr, 8 girls in Level 1A Jnr and 5
girls in Level 2A Open.
The top 6 girls in each division from 2 trials and Regional Championships
will go through to State Championships.
So far, we took all of those top positions. The routines are scored out
of 17.000pts. Shannon Farrell scored an impressive 16.350 on both bars
and floor in Level 1A and Emma Downey a 16.550 on bars, and Madeline
Harrison a 16.450 on vault. These near perfect routines will be drilled
over the next couple of weeks to climb even closer to the magic 17.000!
Excellent job girls.
Westfields Gymnastics also ran an impressive canteen and sausage sizzle
for over 8 hours and raised an amazing $1449.80! Thank you to all the
parents who slaved hard to earn these dollars towards the program.
Our second trial will be on Sunday 28th July 2008. Westfields is hosting
that competition also, and we hope to not only compete with amazing
routines, but out do our fundraising efforts also.
