Schoolboys set to tackle Europeans
WESTFIELDS Sports rugby league stars Blake Green and Nathan Armit are in a league
of their own.
The duo have been selected in the 18-man Australian Schoolboys team to tackle Great
Britain and France this week.
They were also scheduled to play a British amateur rugby league side but the match was
canned after the British were sent home in disgrace following off-field incidents.
The duo were selected following outstanding performances for NSW Combined High School
during the national titles last month, where Blake was named Man of the Match in a final won by
NSW CHS.
They are up in Brisbane for the test against Great Britain today, before returning to
Sydney to take on the French at Oki Jubilee oval, Kogarah.
Blake plays half back, while Nathan has been shifted from his usual position at lock to the front
row.

The year-12 students are juggling their HSC committments with football and play for the
Parra- matta Eels in the Jersey Flegg competition.
Rugby league runs in the blood in Nathan's family - his older brother Chris, an ex-Westfields
Sports student and past NSW CHS captain, now plays first grade with Parramatta Eels.
Westfields Sports rugby league co-ordinator Chris Mahoney is proud of the pair.
"My son used to play against Blake in the under 8s and I have been coaching against Blake for
years," he laughed.
A fortnight ago, Blake and Nathan helped Westfields Sports reach the finaleight of the
rugby league schoolboys Arrive Alive Cup.
Westfields Sports proved too good for Hunter Sports High School with a 26-8 win at Cabramatta rugby league oval.
They will now play St Dominics Kingswood in the quarter finals in the next few weeks.
