FOUR Cabramatta Rugby League players are tipped to follow Pat Richard's footsteps to the NRL level after impressing coaches
at Parramatta Eels' first grade trials recently.
Prairiewood resident and Westfields Sports High School student Kris Keating 17, scored a place in the under 20,
Jersey Flegg team while brother Mathew, 20, with Kris Inu, 19, of Fairfield and onother Westfields Sports student,
Campbelltown's Jarryd Haynes, 18, will start in Parramatta Eels' Premier League division in a weeks time.
Glenn Hamilton, the Cabramatta Rugby League Club football administrator who coached the four in their junior days,
said from the skills shown when playing against Melbourne Storm in the trials, the boys' prospects look bright"
They all played some first grade trial time and considering Kris Keating is just 17, and Jarryd 18, it's a fine effort to
get in a trial team," he said.
"They enjoyed it immensely and Kris Inu scored two tries in one of the first grade trials."
As for the eldest of the bunch, Hamilton said "Matty" Keating was a great role model and continues to train hard on and off the field.
"He worked extremely hard in the off-season, working on his fitness and training exceptionally hard," Hamilton said. "He's not not
only doing training what is required of him by the Parramatta Eels club but also he's doing extra on his own.
"With Kris Keating, a lot of people think he will be playing in the higher level before the season is outas he's an
exceptional player. Many people are also predicting one or two of the other boys will be playing in the NRL at some stage during the year."
Hamilton said on behalf of the Cabramatta Club, that he is very proud to see how the boys have progressed and wished them the best in
the future. "We're looking forward to the day they play an NRL game," he said.
