Old Boy News
Roy Friend a former W.S.H.S rugby league
clubman of the year was selected to play for
NSW in the under 19's as a curtain raiser to
Origin 1. we all hope Roy enjoyed the experience and
this is the first of many great things in his career.
Pat Richards. After a 'Flying Start' to
2001 it was sad to see the injury to Patty,
we all wish him a speedy recovery.
Lenny Beckett. It seems like we have
known Lenny for 20 years but Lenny is
celebrating his 21st birthday this week
and we wish him all the best with the Eagles
in 2001.
| Parramatta Knockout
That time of year is here again the Parramatta
K.O is on the 26/5/01. We will be entering
U/13's, U/15's and U/16's Unfortunately with
limited numbers in the U14's we will not be
able to field a side, these students will
be offered opportunities in the U/15's.
N.R.L. Foundation Challenge
In an attempt to give our open team more
competitive rugby league leading up to the
Kellogs Cup there has been set up a competition
involving the 'top' non catholic schools. This
is to create a competition to equal the M.C.S situation.
Teams involved are: Hunter Sports, Erindale,
Dickson, Westfields Sports, Endeavour Sports
and Yanco
Mr Mahoney has been very active in getting
this off the ground. Well Done!
Sydney C.H.S. Trials
The Sydney C.H.S trials are heavily
represented by Westfields students again this year.
To all who gain selection in the Sydney team to
trial for the NSW CHS we wish you the best at
Myuna Bay against the best schoolboys in NSW.
Rugby League Fees
Rugby League and general school fees are now over due.
The school provides a unique opportunity for your son.
To continue this, we need your financial support of
the program and the school. These fees are vital for
the program and we all wish to avoid the situation of
considering other action if fees are unpaid. Don't
forget your sport fees work out to be $1 a school day.
