Westfields Sports may be one prize short in their trophy cabinet with the loss of the
soccer Puma Cup - but the girls may show the boys how the job is done tomorrow night.
Undefeated for more than 50 games, the girls will be going for their eighth
consecutive Puma Shield when they tackle Mackellar Girls High School at Melita Stadium at
Granville.
Captain and state representative Kylie Ledbrook is confident the team will
come away with the spoils.
"We'll kill it," Ledbrook said. "Hopefully it will be a good game. We have good quality players
who play together as a team and not as individual players. For some of us, this is our last year."
Six of the players are part of the NSW Institute of Sport and all of the other
playing regular club soccer. The side is hot favourite to return the shield after an 8-1 thrashing of
Port Hacking High School to make the state final.

The 13 players are from years 7-12.
"It's hard with training because the juniors have different timetables to the
seniors and most of them have other committments after school," coach Trevor Morgan said.
"But everyone does a lot and their hard work pays off."
Kylie added: "It's not only good for the year 7 girls to get some experience but
also for us older girls to learn from it."
The full squad is: Karrinda Moodley, Daniela Pagano, Laura Peters, Elizabeth
Psarianos, Jordan Marsh, Haley Todd, Julia Bazi, Melissa Papa, Sarah Forge, Kylie Ledbrook,
Frances Dimono, Kristy Rohrer and Ashley Gibb.
Kick-off is at 6pm, which will be followed by the boys' Puma Cup state final
contested by Epping Boys and Lambton high schools.
