Round 4 Thursday 19 June V East Hills Boys.
4 sets all, match won by Westfields on a count back 33 games to 30.
Round 5 Sydney South West Regional Final 27 June V Leumeah High.
Match won by Leumeah 5 -1.
Westfields boys tennis team were recently defeated in the Sydney South West regional final of the Stan Jones Cup. The team played well but were out classed on the day.
In there path to the regional final Westfields defeated Bass High School as well as East Hills Boys High School. Their sportsmanship in defeat was exemplary and the young team is to be congratulated on the way they represented their school.
With three of the four team members still being eligible to play next year the team is looking at building their 2009 campaign.
Camden High School were a very tough team but our girls played extremely well showing lots of determination on the court.
