The Champion team of the week is the Westfields Sports boys' under 16 indoor volleyball team.
Recently the team won their first competition under the guidence od coach Mr Thomas in the Metro
Schools Cup competing against schools from the Blue Mountains, Foster, Blaney and Canberra.
This achievement is great as the boys have only been playing volleyball for a few months and
they took the final set in the championship 21-19 in a best of 15 sets.
The team is now off to Melbourne this week to play in the national championships.

Team of week
At the Metro Cup Championships the boys were captained by Doug Skinner with younger brother
Jeff providing the verbal skills to organise the team.
Volleyball co-ordinator Mr Jaunalksnis described the team as a great bunch.
"Their committment to training and enjoyment is great," he said.
"A fun bunch of kids. They have worked very hard."
