It will be on this world stage that Bint said he hopes to impress baseball scouts with a view to fulfil a life long dream and play baseball at the elite level.

“I love the game of softball and I’m proud to play for Australia,” Bint said.

“This is the first time I’ve been selected for Australia but my ultimate goal would be to play baseball in the US or Canada if I can.
The scouts go to the softball world titles to look at players.”

Cameron , 18, began playing the game as a young child.

“I started playing softball with southern districts when I was age 4,”
Bint said.

Bint plays with the Bashers club in the SDSA and has played representative games for the SDSA against other associations and also for the NSW age teams in Australia.

“I’d like to get an opportunity in baseball in the US.”

The former Westfields Sports High School student was also a competent Australian Football player until age 15.

“I played with the Liverpool Eagles club,” Bint said.

“But then I decided to concentrate on my softball.
